ASSOCIATION OF SOMALI UNIVERSITIES (ASU) IS A NATIONAL, NON‑GOVERNMENTAL, NON-PROFIT, AND NON-POLITICAL ORGANIZATION.
Vision
To be an effective representative of higher education in Somalia, and promote greater national and international collaboration in Higher Education and Research.
Mission
To promote and represent the higher education institutions of Somalia on national and international forums and establish strong relationship with the organizations of higher education and sister associations through active support, cooperation and coordination among the member institutions and all stakeholders for promoting quality education, and research to develop the nation.

ASU Board Members
This is the Top level of the association and it consist of the representatives from the ASU member institutions. The board members meet annual by the general assembly meeting. The board have the approval authority of the membership and the amendment of the constitution.
ASU Executive Committee
This is a middle administration team that are responsible executive work. It comprises the chairman, the two vice chairs and other senior-level leaders, and they report to the board.
ASU Secretariat
This is the operational body of the association. The members of this body are: CEO, Admin and finance officer, Research and training officer, Quality assurance officer, and Social affairs officer. They are responsible for the implementation of strategic plans.
